Las Vegas, Nevada - On Saturday, April 5, 2014, penny loafers will be traded in for cowboy boots, khakis will be replaced by blue jeans and everyone will be touched by a little bit of country, as America gears up for…National Bucking Bull Day!  This unprecedented national event is being unveiled to sports enthusiasts, country music fans, thrill seekers and even “city slickers” - proving that bucking bulls are not just for cowboys anymore.

Exclusive Genetics (EG), a world leader in the bucking bull industry, will host a competition in honor of the inauguration of National Bucking Bull Day (NBBD).  The NBBD Finals will take place on Saturday, April 5 at 2:30pm (PST) at the ACM Party for a Cause® Festival held at The LINQ in Las Vegas.  Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins will be presenting a proclamation in recognition of National Bucking Bull Day.

National Bucking Bull Day competition will feature the 5 winning bulls who came out on top at the recent NBBD Preliminaries.  This includes country music legend Moe Bandy’s bull, “Bandy’s Bad Boy”.   The guitar-singing crooner will be welcomed on NBBD as the ‘Guest of Honor’ as he roots for his bull to win!

Bandy has embraced the exhilarating sport of bucking bulls since he was a young boy.  At 16 years old he started competing in bull-riding and bronco-busting. The four-time ACM award winner is known for his traditional honky tonk fare, including his first #1 hit, “Bandy The Rodeo Clown” – which he will play along with other repertoire favorites LIVE at 2:00pm (PST) in the Exclusive Genetics Arena on National Bucking Bull Day during the ACM Party For A Cause® Festival.

Proceeds from National Bucking Bull Day will be donated to two commendable charities – the Academy of Music’s charitable arm, ACM Lifting Lives®, dedicated to improving lives through the power of music, and the National Autism Association, providing help and hope to those affected.  To engage the fans and to raise even more awareness of these organizations, two of the top bulls in the NBBD Finals will represent each charity by being given the namesakes, “Lifting Lives®” and “Buck Autism”.

Enthusiasts across the country have an opportunity to participate in National Bucking Bull Day by entering the “Bull Buck Off” Sweepstakes at www.NationalBuckingBullDay.com.  Fans are able to vote for their favorite bull to win the NBBD Finals.  Then on April 5, voters can tune into NBBD’s Official Media Sponsor, Bucking Bull TV, to see live action and watch their bull buck.  All entries submitted will be entered into a sweepstakes where one lucky voter will win a 3 day/2 night stay at the world-renowned Jaynes Gang Ranch in Orchard, Texas!
