Las Vegas, Nevada - On Sunday, at approximately 11:22 a.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center received multiple calls of two officers who had been shot inside of a restaurant located in the 300 block of North Nellis Boulevard.

The officers were inside of the restaurant having lunch when they were ambushed by two armed suspects. The suspects were described as one male and one female.

After shooting the officers, the suspects went southbound across Nellis Boulevard to the Wal-Mart located at 201 North Nellis Boulevard. Upon entering the front doors of the store, the suspects shot and killed a citizen and made their way to the rear of the store. The call of shots fired at the Wal-Mart came in at 11:27 a.m. as officers converged on the area. Officers entered the front and rear of the Wal-Mart and exchanged gunfire with the suspects. Minutes later, a second volley of gunshots was heard, and it is believed the female suspect shot the male suspect before turning the gun on herself.

The officers were both pronounced deceased at the UMC Trauma Center. The officers have been identified as:

Officer Alyn Beck age 41. Officer Beck had been employed with the LVMPD since August 2001 and had been assigned to the Patrol Division, Northeast Area Command. Officer Beck leaves behind a wife and three children.

Officer Igor Soldo age 31. Officer Soldo had been employed with the LVMPD Since April 2006 and had been assigned to the Patrol Division, Northeast Area Command. Officer Soldo leaves behind a wife and baby.

The citizen who was killed by the suspects at the Wal-Mart has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as 31-year old Joseph Wilcox.

The two suspects in this incident have been tentatively identified as 31-year old Jerad Miller and 22-year old Amanda Miller, both of Las Vegas. Positive identification of the deceased suspects will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Photos of the two suspects accompany this release.
