Washington, DC - A Chinese national was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release Wednesday for conspiring to violate the Arms Export Control Act and International Traffic in Arms Regulations; attempting to violate the Arms Export Control Act and International Traffic in Arms Regulations; and violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The sentencing follows an investigation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) and the U.S. Department of Commerce-Bureau of Industry and Security’s Office of Export Enforcement Washington Field Office.
