Las Vegas, Nevada - The Clark County Department of Air Quality (DAQ) is seeking two independent contractors to serve as Air Pollution Control (APC) Hearing Officers.  Preference will be given to persons experienced in air pollution control, environmental management, engineering, law, arbitration, or dispute resolution.  Applicants must be residents of Nevada and shall not be employees of the State of Nevada or any other political subdivision of the state.  Compensation is $70.00 per hour for hearing and preparatory time only.  Hearing Officers are required to provide a W-9 form to the department prior to commencement of services.

Las Vegas, Nevada - Clark County's Department of Parks and Recreation will begin accepting registrations for summer swim lessons at pools and community centers starting with mail-in registrations postmarked on or after Tuesday, May 15. Online registration, recommended as the most efficient way to sign up, will be accepted starting on Friday, May 18, followed by walk-in registrations at individual facility locations on Monday, May 21.

Las Vegas, Nevada - The city of Las Vegas is recruiting 48 AmeriCorps members for the 2018-2019 academic year. Selected applicants will serve as literacy tutors and success mentors to students in elementary and middle schools.    AmeriCorps members are required to complete at least 900 hours of service during a 10month commitment, September 2018 to June 2019, at a city ReInvent School.
