Henderson, Nevada -  Beginning this month, the city of Henderson has increased business license inspections of local shopping areas. Business License officers are regularly patrolling strip malls, major shopping malls and parking lots leading up to Christmas.

“During this upcoming shopping season, it is especially important that we watch for unlicensed businesses,” said Mayor Andy Hafen. “We want our residents to feel safe and secure while preparing for the holidays and enjoying all the events and festivities.”

Henderson Business License officers are watching for unlicensed businesses that may have set up for quick holiday sales. This time of year it’s also common for fraudulent services to set up in parking lots and around busy shopping areas.

During the winter months there may also be an increase in door-to-door solicitation. Any person conducting business within the city of Henderson is required to obtain a business license. Residents may search for valid business licenses at cityofhenderson.com.
