Las Vegas, Nevada - The Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) Volunteer Programs invites community-minded people to attend their upcoming Meet and Greet events.  Five events will be held throughout the Las Vegas Metropolitan area to recruit needed volunteers to serve older adults and people with disabilities.  Volunteers are needed to conduct outreach, make presentations, counsel Medicare beneficiaries on health benefits and advocate for residents in Long-Term Care facilities.

These events will allow people the opportunity to learn about the ADSD volunteer programs, the training needed to become a volunteer and the commitment required to serve.  The purpose of the events is to inspire people to serve in one of ADSD’s four volunteer programs and allow the community to see the valuable service and the impact made by ADSD volunteers.

The events are held throughout the Las Vegas valley to make it convenient for people to attend an event near their place of residence.  Events are scheduled as follows:

  • Tuesday, November 1, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Aliante Library, 2400 W. Deer Springs Way, N. Las Vegas, NV  89084
