Las Vegas, Nevada - Monday night, at approximately 7:02 p.m., an auto versus auto fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of N. Tenaya Way and Old Mission Drive. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a 2011 Nissan Titan pick-up truck was traveling northbound Tenaya Way south of Old Mission Drive at a high rate of speed. A 2010 Audi Q7 was traveling southbound Tenaya Way and had just completed a U-turn and began traveling northbound. The front of the Nissan collided with the rear of the Audi.
After the Nissan collided with the rear of the Audi, it was redirected in a northeast direction and collided with a luminary support and brick wall. Arriving medical personnel transported Harriel, Yardley, and the juvenile infant to UMC for further medical attention. The driver of the Nissan Titan was transported by ambulance to Mountain View Hospital where despite all medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Audi did not show any signs of impairment. The driver of the Nissan's death marks the 92nd traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2020. This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collison Investigation Section.
