Las Vegas, Nevada - On April 15, 2021, at approximately 8:57 a.m., an auto versus motorcycle traffic collision occurred on S. Nellis Boulevard north of E. Flamingo Road. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated a 2016 Victory motorcycle was traveling northbound Nellis Boulevard north of Flamingo Road. A Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck was exiting westbound from the private drive of 3890 S. Nellis Boulevard crossing the northbound travel lanes of Nellis Boulevard to go southbound. The motorcycle collided with the left side of the Chevrolet Colorado. The operator of the Victory motorcycle had visible signs of injury and was transported by ground ambulance to Sunrise Trauma for further medical treatment.
The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado remained at the collision scene and did not show any signs of impairment. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Traffic Fatal Investigation Section did not respond to this collision.
On April 20, 2021, the office of the Clark County Coroner/Medical Examiner contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section that the operator of the Victory motorcycle succumbed to the injuries he sustained during the collision on April 15, 2021. This death marks the 34th trafficrelated fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2021.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collison Investigation Section.
