Las Vegas, Nevada - On April 23, 2021, at approximately 1:57 a.m., an auto versus pedestrian collision occurred on East Flamingo Road near the Escondido Street intersection. Evidence at the scene indicated a gray 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT was traveling east on East Flamingo Road approaching the Escondido Street intersection. A pedestrian was attempting to cross East Flamingo Road outside of a marked crosswalk and entered the path of the Hyundai.

A collision occurred when the front of the Hyundai struck the pedestrian. Responding medical personnel transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and did not display signs of impairment.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
